To some of the users, RunMe may be a simple utilities to launch their favorite application. But for advanced users, RunMe may become a replacement tool for their Windows Start Menu(you can configure this through the Settings option).

Users can add any program to the launcher by dragging and dropping the shortcut into it. There are a lot of settings that you can change. for example, you can change the look of RunMe from the preinstalled 15 themes, the dock position of the launcher, the effects, and much more.

RunMe is a portable application, which mean you can always carry it with your USB pendrive. All settings are saved in a XML file. If you like an application launcher with docking support, make sure you look into this application!

Note: This application support Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 as well.

I had introduced about Gazup before, which is a service that upload your files to multiple file hosting server. Now, there is another alternative service which performs the same thing – Uploadjockey.

Uploadjockey - Send files to multiple hosting server

Uploadjockey - Send files to multiple hosting server

Uploadjockey will uploads your files to 3 different hosting server – MegaUpload, EasyShare, and DepositFiles. The maximum file size supported is only 200MB. Compare with Gazup, Uploadjockey supports fewer hosting server and don’t have much features.

But, Uploadjockey let you earn money through sharing your files. You will earn $2 per 1000 unique downloads and they will paid through PayPal when your account reach $10.

I personally like Uploadjockey( not because i can earn money form it). It is because i use EasyShare and DepositFiles a lot, but Gazup don’t support both hosting servers.

Posted by Dickey on Nov 10th, 08 | Filed under Application, Internet | View Comments

Some of us installed and use more than one browser on our system. For example, i am using Opera, Firefox, IE, and Google Chrome. So, managing my bookmarks across different browsers bring a lot of trouble to me. Luckily, there is an free application called Transmute, which can copy your bookmarks from one browser and then export it to another browser.

Simply choose the source and target browser and click the Export button. Currently, Transmute support Google Chrome, Firefox, IE, Opera and Safari. the advance settings allow you to create a backup for your bookmarks and append timestamp at your export file.

This application require .NET Framework to run. Before performing any conversion, remember to close all browsers, else you will get error messages. It is because your browsers will lock the bookmarks database and prevent any write action on it.
