If you want to do a people search, you may try Pipl, which is a service which collect people’s public profile from social network service.
By using Pipl, users can know others public profiles easily by just provide the person’s first name, last name, city, state, and country. Pipl’s query-engine helps you find deep web pages that cannot be found on regular search engines.
The main reason why Pipl is better than traditional search engine is because normally the people-related documents and profiles are stored in databases and not a static page, so they are invisible to search engine. Issuu is a Web 2.0 service which can convert any PDF files to online books. The interesting feature is it enable user who doesn’t install PDF plugin to view the book.
When you upload your PDF document, Issuu will then convert it to a web based document, which require flash player to open. The converted document looks more like a book then the original PDF document.

Keotag provide a search engine for users to search through multiple social website and blog search engine like Technorati and delicious.
Keotag can search through 18 search engine and social websites including Technorati, del.icio.us, Twitter, Google, Digg, Yahoo!, Youtube, and etc. The search results are returned quickly and users can switch to other search engine without reload the page because Keotag use the AJAX technology.
To use Keotag, you can either type your keyword or simply pick any keyword from the tag cloud. After that, click on one of the search engine and the results will return shortly. Only one search engine can be selected at one time.
I think they should add feature for users to select multiple search engines and then display the result in tabs. This is not a must feature but i think at least user can compare the results between different search engine right? But Keotag has a very nice interface and easy to use since it is AJAX-based.
