Scribd had launch a program called Convert your paper to iPaper, which means they will scan your paper documents for free, and publish them on the internet for free.
Document sharing website Scribd launched iPaper in February and now they are taking one step further to introduce this service. The company has a strict process to make sure you are not going to send them a lot of documents. Here is the instruction:
To participate, just send a brief description of the type and quantity of your documents to paper@scribd.com. A Scribd representative will reply shortly with further instructions for how and where to mail the documents. Scribd will have the content scanned and published on Scribd.com to be easily shared with anyone. Include your Scribd username along with your paper so that your content will be published in your account. If you are not a Scribd user, include your email address, and Scribd will email you a link to your published content.
I believe this service will bring a lot of benefits to students, as they can get free scanning service and can share their documents with friends.
Scribd claims that this service will be available for limited time only, and they may choose to not scan the materials received. For further information, please visit their page.

Deyey is a Hong Kong based company which provide service on creating free name card using their online tools.
How to spell Deyey? Well, Deyey should be splited in 3 words D-EYE-Y. The meaning is “Do some visuals that are related to your businesses by yourself”. They aim to provide service for small bussiness and individual to save their cost to run and promote website.
Every user will get around 100MB after sign up. Users can use the storage to save their name card, find and save others name card, or even as a personal online storage.

Create a name card using Deyey is extremely easy for a beginner. First, choose your background from the galleries, then proceed with your logo. After that, you can add more information such as your Company name, address, and phone number to it. It is a flash-based application, which is very user-friendly.

There are a lot of services which play around with ASCII code. For example, hide image behind text, convert image to ASCII code, create ASCII text, and etc. ASCII Art Generator is a website which provide conversion of image to ASCII and text to ASCII.
In my previous article, i had introduce a service which can hide an image behind text. Basically, both of them using ASCII to represent the image. ASCII Art Generator is an interesting web application because you can generate beautiful ASCII art by providing them an image.

Choose Show in html and Show in color before you start convert your image to ASCII art. The example above show the result of the conversion. You can then share the ASCII art by copy and paste the HTML code to your blog/website.
Oh ya, if you want to upload your own image, you have to upload to the free image hosting server and then paste the URL of the image. I wonder why they don’t let users to upload image?
