Searchme is a visual search engine which use Cover Flow to flip through the search result.

Steps to follow
Open your Firefox 3 and type about:config in the address bar and hit enter.
Unlike Firefox 2, there is a warning message before you can enter the configuration list. Press the “I’ll be careful, I promise!” button to continue.
Type browser.urlbar.maxRichResults in the Filter bar and press enter.
Double-click the browser.urlbar.maxRichResults and set the value to 3 (you can put any value, this is the maximum suggestions that Firefox 3 will gives you).
RestartFirefox to take effect.

As you can see, the address suggestion become 3. I don’t know how they sort the suggestion list. If you want to have more control over the suggestion, you can try Autocomplete Manager.
Autocomplete Manager is a Firefox plugin which provide advance features for your Firefox address bar.
The original Firefox address bar will try search from the history when we type. For example, when i type ‘tech’, it may shows me a list of URL which start from ‘tech’. But, it can’t provide me the URL that contains ‘tech’ in the middle of the string. With Autocomplete Manager extension, you can do so.
As shown in the screenshot above, when i type ’snack’, the address bar will get a list of URL that contains ’snack’, when the ’snack’ is in the middle of URL. Beside this feature, Autocomplete Manager allow users to search from bookmark, change the sort criterion, and also how the pop up list look like. You can access the settings through Tools -> Autocomplete Manager, and then choose Enhanced Component Options.
This extension is very useful especially for those websites which don’t have an easy-to-remember URL. But i personally feel that the better way to remember such URL is put them in the “Bookmarks Toolbar Folder” so that you can access them in just one-click.
WhatIsThatFile.com provide a huge database which contains a lot of unknown files name and their potential to destroy your PC. You can always check any suspicious file with them.

Today, i found this article, which introduce WhatIsThatFile.com. This is a service which collect around 3000++ unknown filenames. If you suspect a file, you can always type the filename and WhatIsTheFile will search through the database and list the result for you. The first screen shot show that the file (csrss) is clean while the second screenshot show that the file (trojan) may contains virus/spyware.
Keotag provide a search engine for users to search through multiple social website and blog search engine like Technorati and delicious.
Keotag can search through 18 search engine and social websites including Technorati, del.icio.us, Twitter, Google, Digg, Yahoo!, Youtube, and etc. The search results are returned quickly and users can switch to other search engine without reload the page because Keotag use the AJAX technology.
To use Keotag, you can either type your keyword or simply pick any keyword from the tag cloud. After that, click on one of the search engine and the results will return shortly. Only one search engine can be selected at one time.
I think they should add feature for users to select multiple search engines and then display the result in tabs. This is not a must feature but i think at least user can compare the results between different search engine right? But Keotag has a very nice interface and easy to use since it is AJAX-based.
SortFix is a new search engine which provide user better search results. Their search results are base on Google and Yahoo.
In the future, search engine technology will continue to develop until they can really understand what user wants and return the appropriate results. Currently, Google search results is base on PageRank, but sometimes they can’t really work perfectly. But, SortFix introduce a brand new search engine, their slogan is “Start Dragging Stop Typing”.
