SortFix is a new search engine which provide user better search results. Their search results are base on Google and Yahoo.
In the future, search engine technology will continue to develop until they can really understand what user wants and return the appropriate results. Currently, Google search results is base on PageRank, but sometimes they can’t really work perfectly. But, SortFix introduce a brand new search engine, their slogan is “Start Dragging Stop Typing”.
SortFix’s search results are base on Google and Yahoo. But, they include “Power Words” in their search results so that the search results more specific to what user wants. “Power Words” is terms introduced by SortFix, which are words that related to the search. User can drag and drop the “Power Words” to “Add basket”, “Remove basket”, and “Dictionary basket”.
The screenshot below shows the search results for “Wordpress”:
As you can see, the “Power Words” basket contains “plugin, blog, download, tool, wikipedia, corp, templates, themes, weblog platform”. These words are actually related to “wordpress”. You can add them to different basket. For example, you can drag “wikipedia” to “Remove basket”, and “themes” to “Add to Search basket”. So, your search result will contain “wordpress” and “themes” but won’t contain “wikipedia”. For more information about how to use their search engine, you can visit their help page here.

SortFix’s – Search engine
Actually, I tried it my self, and to tell the truth I don’t know how I managed to search before.
Most of the time when searching professional information (that’s what I usually search for) I don’t necessarily know how to start describing my search subject.
The main difficulty is to guess what keywords I should use (the same one the site-owners used to describe their own content). Most advanced searcher call this problem “outguessing the search engine”.
With SortFix that’s not a problem, I entered a few faded terms I though could some how describe what I was looking for, and got their “Power Words”.
These “Power Words” helped me to express my query and in much more details.
It also helps me to remove irrelevant results (by dragging unrelated “Power Words” to the remove/red zone) leaving me with more concentrated and quality results.

Thanks for giving comment on this post, their “Power Words” are actually relevant with the search terms. With the “Add to search” and “Remove” basket, the accuracy of search results will increase.
