SeeToo - What you see, i see too

SeeToo is a web application which allow you to invite your friends to watch movie together through web browser. With SeeToo, you stream your video privately with your friends.

SeeTooThere are a lot of people sharing video and there are a lot of video sharing website include Youtube, MegaVideo, MetaCafe, Dailymotion, and etc. But, their video sharing is not real-time. Now, SeeToo provide this service by let its user to share video files with any size with their friends in real-time.

By using SeeToo, you stream video directly from your computer to your friends. You can share the movie with 2 friends at the same time. You can share video, audio, and image with your friends. The supported format are:

  • Video files (.mpg, .mpeg, .avi, .mov, .3gp, .flv, .mp4)
  • Audio files (.mp3)
  • Image files (.jpg, .jpeg, .bmp)

There are 2 steps to start streaming video with your friends: Select a video and Invite a buddy. After you choose your video, SeeToo will give you a link. You can then send the link to your friend and start streaming the video. SeeToo will not keep your files, which means that the files are being streamed from your computer to your friend’s computer. After the sharing session is complete, your friend’s computer won;t contains the files also. So, your privacy is protected.

The main advantage of SeeToo is it can start streaming immediately after you choose the files and the sharing is private. Only people who hold the link can access the files. But, you need a stable and fast broadband connection in order to get smooth and good quality video. The recommended bandwidth is at least 100kbps.

Currently, they still in Beta testing and the number of registration is limited. So, apply as a beta tester now.

      An interesting feature they have is that once the streaming has started, the playback is in synch, meaning you and your friend will see the same playback at the same time, and will be able to control the playback together.

      @Nark: Yup, i believe this is their main advantage. Looks like 2 users can watch movie together even they are not in same place!
