In.com is a free email service from India. It provides @in.com email address, 10GB storage and user-friendly AJAX interface.

After you login to your Inbox, you will found that In.com has a very similar interface with Yahoo Mail. Both of them are using AJAX, and they will open new mail/item at a new tab.

The most interesting feature from In.com is they provide the shortest email address. It makes your email address easy to remember by others. In.com has built-in antivirus scanner and spam filter. But unfortunately, it doesn’t support SMTP and POP3. So, you can only use their web interface to access your inbox.

Although Gmail and Yahoo Mail provide more features, but you may try In.com if you want to have a short email address.

Wow.. thanks for writing the article. I never know that there is an @in.com free email account available. I’ll be sure to check that 10gb free space that they are giving.

if they have pop3 that would be so much awesome though.

I was just checking out what others are doing in the short email market because I have been working on changing the TZ.Com charter.

I don’t have the backing of the In.Com folks (as I recall they paid quite a bit for their name a few years back), I’m just a Colorado entrepreneur with a family business but I still do control the TZ.Com service for now. We’re in a bit of trouble in this economy from another business venture we started, so we have to charge for our email service, but then I won’t sell your name to spammers (I can’t speak to other services out there, but have to wonder how they monetize their service) and will work like a slave for our members. We’re going to need to gather 1000 per month over the next year to make this service work, but I think that with an offer to allow a 10% referral commission to members, the concept makes sustainable financial sense.

$25 is nothing for most folks and it will save our business, so I’m hoping there is some level of response to this plan.

Check out http://tz.com/ for more. If you like the idea and are interested in joining us, email me at the webmaster address for TZ and I’ll get back with you.

Correction on my last comment, I think that I was thinking of On.Com, not In.Com.

GMX is short. and it’s free.
You can have (3-digit-here)@gmx.us. If in.com can have 3 digit before the @ sign, then it’s a tie.

Im Using the email service and its great. I recommend it to everyone.

  7. Pranab says:

There are other short email addresses out there, in.com is definitely not the shortest..

For example Qwest, an ISP in the US, owns q.com and I have seen customer addresses @q.com

I have also seen b@i.am, and addresses @k.st

So I think in.com’s claim is untrue.
