EatLime - Free online private file sharing
EatLime let you share any files with your friends or family much faster. The download process can start immediately when you start upload.
Like other file sharing service, EatLime let users to share any file types but limit the file size to 1GB. After you choose the file that you want to share, a link will be given to you. You can then give this link to your friends and they can start downloading the file. What make EatLime different with other file sharing/hosting application is, they let your friends to download the file immediately when you start upload, which means that they don’t need to wait until you finish upload the file. This make the file sharing much faster than other similar services.
Another interesting feature that they offer is you can delete the file after your friends finish download. As shown in the screenshot below, there are a “x” button after the file name. After your friends download the file, you can then click “x” to delete the file from server.
You can share as many file as you want under same SHARELINK, as long as the total file size not exceed 1GB. When your friend get the SHARELINK, they can choose which file to download. As shown in the picture, you can send the SHARELINK to your friend through EatLime.
EatLime provide a desktop client which let you to share your file even more faster. Simply select the file and press Ctrl+T, the client will automatically upload the selected file to the server. Multiple files can be selected and be given the same SHARELINK. To use their desktop client, you must register an account. The maximum storage for a single account is 1GB.
For unregistered user, the maximum file size is 100MB, but for registered user, you can share up to 1GB. Currently, they still in beta testing and i am not sure how long they will host our files. So, if you are interested, you can click here to start sharing.

I think that is a nice peace of work, Thanks for this information, I have read similar article for some other site which has a file hosting, But he didn’t stated anything about the size of the file which we can make live. After reading this article, I would like to know something more like how many days we can keep the file live on the internet. IS there any deadline? Like if you see the features of the yousendit.com they have provided a service to keep the file live for 7 days if the user is unregistered.
Can you please let me know how many days the file we can keep alove?

@apurvajk: I am afraid i can’t answer your question now because they didn’t state clearly in their FAQ. I try to upload a file 1 week ago, with no people download, until now my file still there. I will post an update once i get new informations about it. Thanks for your comment also!

I read your post and am confused. I just uploaded 2 files that are less than 1 GB. I intend to share with someone later this week. But I logged in just now and don’t see where the files are on the site nor how to share? There’s no FAQ and the help section doesn’t work. Any ideas?
@Jeanine: After you upload files, they will give a link to you, which will contain the share files. You try login to your account. Press the “My SHARELINK” button, and you will get all sharelinks. If you still can’t get the files, i belive they had delete them from the server. They never mention how long they will store our files.
Thanks for the response. But I just uploaded everything late last night. And now it’s 9 hours later. So they could’ve deleted them. When I pressed “my sharelink” there’s nothing there. This is very sad.
@Jeanine: If you can’t find them in “my sharelink”, that means they already delete them. Maybe need to check the terms and condition before upload. Maybe their system still got some problems, since they still in beta testing now…
