After you signup for an account, they will give you a subdomain name, http://username.bigfilebox.com. You can create as many as Filebox and each Filebox is protected by a password. You can then upload your files into the Filebox and set the permissions to them.
There are a lot of features, some of them are:
- Each Filebox is password protected and can be accessed independently by users in your organization.
- They include Anti virus engine to scan and block dangerous files.
- No software installation required.
- You can upload your files through 2 methods. If Java had been installed, you can upload multiple files and folders at one time by using Drag & Drop. If your computer doesn’t install Java, you can still upload file but it is limited to one file per upload.
- Token system which let you issue access rights, set expiry dates, and read right privileges.
- Secure - BigFilebox use industry standard SSL encryption.

With 1GB of bandwidth is to low…
@Wing Loon: I agree that 1GB is too low…But for business/enterprise, they don’t need high bandwidth. What they need is security, to prevent others view their document…Right?
dicky, it depends though, I encounter some of my ex-customer, they really don’t trust these kind of service provided by external parties. they more comfortable on having their own servers.
@Wing Loon: I agree with you. Some people like to have their own servers because they can have full controls over the data stored inside. But, service like BigFileBox offer more user-friendly interface, right?
I am here with a new idea, that is not only host and share your files, but you can search for files too. Initially http://www.maifile.com allows only document files. This site is built with an aim to provide you every possible file you need.
