Posted on the January 13th, 2008 under Downloads, Internet by dicky

Driveway, MailBigFile, JustUpIt, and DropSend are top service which let users upload files and send to others through email.

I had introduce a lot of free file hosting service before, including SHARE, EatLime, BigFilebox, and a list of Top free file hosting server. Now, i would like to introduce some services which can deliver files to your friends through email.

Driveway

DrivewayDriveway has a very attractive interface and easy to use. It is provided by IDrive online backup. They provide a ParkitTM link for each uploaded file and you can provide recipient email address when you upload the files and the link will automatically send to the recipient after the upload process finish. They provide 2GB storage for registered user and maximum size for single file is 500MB.

MailBigFile

MailBigFileMailBigFile allow maximum file size of 100MB and only 1 file per upload, which means that you can only send 1 file with maximum 100MB to your friend. Else, you have to signup for their paid account. They have 3 type of paid account: Pro (with SSL transfer), Business, and Entreprise.

JustUpIt

JustUpItJustUpIt offer 170MB and only 1 file per upload. But, it let you send the upload link to 5 recipients. The file uploaded is no restriction, which means that the file can be downloaded unlimited!

DropSend

SropSendDropSend allow you to send up to 1GB per file, but you need to register an account in order to send/share file with you friends. It is easy to use and you can send files directly from your desktop. When you login to your account and go to the Send File page, it looks like you are using your email client. You can go though their tour page here.

Conclusion

In my opinion, both Driveway and DropSend offer better features than others. They offer both file sharing and email features for users. Furthermore, you can send file from your desktop using the tools that they provided. But, Driveway offer larger space than DropSend. So, how to choose between Driveway and DropSend? If you need to send large file, go for DropSend. If you need larger storage, go for Driveway, thats it.

Another option worth considering for secure online file sharing is File-Works.

It gives you a great deal of control over who can do what with which file, and it is very easy to use.

For sending a single large file to one or more people, there is Free File-Works.
